Land Raider

The Land Raider is an ongoing project that I tinker with in my spare time. It is really just a testbed for different things I like to try out so there is no real final goal for the device. In general it is a remotely operated mobile platform. I have controlled the Land Raider with various devices, it has had several different onboard control systems and it even has had three different chassis.

I am currently reworking the web page devoted to the Land Raider, check back for updates.

A 3D rendering of the large chassis that I designed in 3D Studio Max.

The large chassis completed. At 24Volts it could push you accross the floor. I've pushed my Fort Explorer with it. One neat trick is to stand on it and drive it up to a wall, it will climb up the wall and flip you off.

Pan Tilt Camera mounted.
The tank chassis with mini ITX board installed.
The tank chassis with all systems installed. This version was controlled over 802.11 wireless via a simple telnet session and/or via html commands interpreted by 'serial host'.
