Finished the swing today! Well, actually, late last night and Alyssa and I swang from 8pm to 9pm hehehe.

Here is it is finished up. Lowe's was out of swings so we only have one swing and a bar, well get another swing later and move the bar to the outside part of the frame.

Later on it was strawberry time again. This time we made an icecream treat for Mommy. Luckily for us, Mommy is the wicked witch of the West and she wont eat anything that is sweet or wholesome (it would reduce her evil powers). So me and Alyssa pretty much got to eat it all...

Jill and I decided to build Alyssa a swingset. I made some plans and bought some wood today. Total for lumber, swings, and other hardware was about $115. I'll post pics later when I'm finished.

One of the teachers at school gave Jill a big box of strawberries, Alyssa and I put it to good use right away...

Well I got this cool little toy that blows smoke rings. My father in law gave me another cool toy that projects a laser across a flat plane instead of just one thin beam. Its used for getting things level etc.
Alyssa and I went into the bathroom, turned off the lights, and bounced the laser off the big mirror and shot smokerings through it. So you get to see the cross section of the rings. Check out the video.

Jill had some kind of school fundraiser party to go to. So I had to play dress up with her. It was a pretty good time. Free drinks and all....

I slept late this morning after staying up all night building robots or something. Alyssa woke up early and decided to make coffee and wish dishes.

I could hear her talking and playing in the kitchen and when I saw what she was up to I went and got the camera.

Went camping again today. Alyssa shot a raccoon out of a tree. Didn't catch any good fish though.

Camping in Eunice Dec. '05

We all went camping at the old camp in Eunice after Christmas. First thing we found was a snake. I gave Alyssa the choice of shooting it or letting it go see his friends.
Snake is dead now....

Weather was just right, we had weaners and marshmellows.

The camp was too dirty too sleep in so we did the tent thing.

Daddy and Alyssa caught two nice sized bass. One of them actually had a mouse in his mouth.

Then we all went hunting. We didn't see anything though. Alyssa needs better camo...

Mr. David and I working on his boat slip at his camp. We are attaching the horizontal runners to the posts that have already been driven into the ground.

Those aren't boots im wearing, its mud.

We used the ladder to help stand in the muck, it cut the crap out of my foot on the way out though.

Working in the dark. I'm trying to make up for all the help Mr. Dave gave me on my deck :)

Building a deck for our new house.

I made some plans in 3DSMax. This is an early image and the plan changed, but you get the idea. The final plan was for a 16ft by 16ft deck.

My father in-law, David Cormier, gave me some pilings that he had halved and quatered. We put in the 4 corners last weekend actually, but thats all we had time for.

Mr. David helped me all day Saturday and Sunday with putting the posts down and getting the frame in place.

Alyssa helped by getting into the pet taxi with suzi the dog.....

At least we know she isn't claustrophobic.

Our child eats like a bird, but when it comes to cat food, she eats like a.. well... like a cat.

Just to hammer home the point that I am the coolest dad ever, I'd like to present you with:

Alyssa's Room

No child's room is complete without a lava lamp...

Here is her fish tank, complete with black light, green and red LED lights, a pregnant crawfish, minnows straight from the bayou (I caught them with my bare hands too!), and a silver fish from WalMarts. Alyssa will be quick to tell you that yellow fish died somehow.

Above the fish tank is her butterfly kite (it looks prettier than it flys so it stays on the wall..) and her painted rocket ship. (click here a video of the rocketship in action)
At night the lights from the fish tank light up the butterfly very nicely.

Unfortunatly, we got so drunk the last night at we couldn't get up and go hunting this morning.

Jill pwned by airsoft

So my wife sits down in my new work room to check her email. What she didn't know was that I had stayed up the night before setting up the internet controlled airsoft gun.

So Alyssa and I ran to the next room and fired up my laptop. I had to do it all by hand but I finally got her in my sights and tried to squeeze off a single shot with a 200ms trigger pull.

The gun didn't cycle all the way and Jill heard the noise and started asking me what was going on. So I typed up a 600ms burst as fast I could and let it fly before she got up.

I heard the gun cycle off a 3 round burst and Jill yelling. Oh the pwning was so complete I could barely contain myself. Jill was pretty cheesed off though. It left 3 welps on her back.

I didn't think it would be that bad, because I had shot myself the night before as a test from the very same distance. Jilly has sissy girl skin I guess.

Arts and Crafts

I got Alyssa some crayola spongey modeling clay and some water paint the other day at WalMarts. Its some pretty cool stuff. Just like any regular clay but its lite and spongey and it drys that way too.

We made some cool stuff like a funny face, a star, then a snail.

Then I went nuts and made a little garden for the snail to live in.

Here it is painted.

Alyssa was pretty pleased.

Later on we took a nap. Mommy wasnt home and I must have fallen asleep first because Alyssa got up, found her markers, and drew all over me, herself, and the bed. Plus she threw a whole box of goldfish crackers on my head.

This is her waking up later on.
