I built a castle!
Man oh man. Cardboard boxes are the best toys ever.
Our TV died so we had to get a new one. Jill and I splurged over the weekend on got a nice 27in TV and a new bed frame. Our old bed was a POS made out of presswood etc. The headboard was so flimsy that you couldn't lean up against it at night if you wanted to read or watch TV etc. I even added two 1x4's and it was still a POS.
We decided that it was about time we got a bedroom set of furnature that would last us for the rest of our lives. We started with the bed. We got this thing for about $400 bucks. Its pine but its solid wood. The frame was very well made etc. The mover only nicked it twice bringin it in... *grumble*
So anyway, back to the TV.
It was a pretty big TV and the box was huge. I also had the boxes from the bedposts. A little knife work and some tape and voila!
Here I am figuring out how things should go.

Alyssa didn't care that it wasn't finished yet...

The finished product.

Left and right views.

The door is shut!
I later changed the door to open sideways because Alyssa kept trying to close it while she was still sitting on it.

Sweet interior lighting....

I conviced Jill to get inside and Alyssa followed.

Let me in there, fatty!

Weeeeee!
