What about a flying fox or similar (so loving friends and family can send in supplies. And possibly so little people can visit dad, but not get wet feet and splinters.)?
The line would also be somewhere for non-wetlands birds to sit.... heck, you could probably get a government environment grant to pay for the project now :)

Similar to what I was starting to draw up, but no good program on my computer to get it to you... I actually prefer yours as it would be a bit simpler than my idea though... the 2nd level balcony in mine would have needed a slightly taller part of the roof line...
Great plans for the camp/fort/clubhouse. Why not put the tower on the roof right next to the deck it occupies in these oictures. You could make it the same height with less lumber for the supports (because they would be shorter) and you would not lose floor space on the desk.
